Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, you do need to make a reservation. The reservations help us determine how many guides we need on a tour. Walk-up guests will only be taken if there is space available on the tour. For groups of 6+ please see our private and custom tours.
Where does the tour meet?
There is a map and subway directions located on the website at the bottom of every tour, which display the start and finish location. You can also find convenient directions in the confirmation email sent to you after booking a tour.
How many people will be on the tour?
Group sizes vary. The maximum amount of guests you can expect on a public walking tour is 25 people.
What should I bring to the tour?
The following are suggestions:
-Snacks or bottled beverages
-Comfortable attire and shoes appropriate for the day's weather (tour runs rain or shine)
-Sunscreen (if summer or sunny)
How should I dress?
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. We advice that you check the weather and dress accordingly. The tour runs rain or shine.
What happens if you arrive to the tour late?
Please be on time for your tour. We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early to use the restroom and buy a beverage. Should you arrive late your tour guides number is located on the booking email sent to you before the tour. The tour guide will do his/her best to respond to text or phone calls, but remember late arrivals interrupt the tour.
Is the tour appropriate for children?
The tour is appropriate for children but, we recommend 10 +. Please keep in mind your child's attention span and capacity for walking. Keep in mind the tour is 2 hours long and are approximately 1 mile walking distance.
Is the tour available privately?
Of course! All of our walking tours are available as a private tour. Visit the private tours page for rates and to schedule a guide.
Is the tour available in other languages?
Currently, the tour is only available in English.
What happens if it rains?
Grab an umbrella and rain coat. The tour happens rain or shine.
Are pets appropriate to bring on the tour?
I am a huge animal lover. Unfortunately, not all our guests feel the same way. Please leave your pets at home out of respect for the group.
What about gratuity?

I booked a tour and now I can't go. Can I get a refund?
· More than 7 days prior to the tour start date, we will grant you a full refund.
· Between 7 and 2 days prior to the tour start date, we will retain 50% of the tour cost.
· Less than 48 hours prior to the tour start date, or once the tour has begun, there will be no refunds.
The number of available spots on a tour is limited and we cannot guarantee the filling the space with out proper notice.
The tour is over and I want to stay in the neighborhood. Where should I go?
If you are looking for something fun to do in the neighborhood after your tour ends visit the tour page and scroll to the bottom. You will find a list of fun places we recommend visiting in the neighborhood. Some of them might even offer you a discount if you mention our name.
